Obama..the Legislator in Chief
According to this provision of the U.S. Constitution every American has the right NOT to be subject to any federal law unless reviewed, scrutinized and approved by a majority of the peoples representatives. This process however has be eroded since the late 19th and early 20th Century and to the present day.
This process of legislative action has been circumvented by the use of the use of the Presidential Executive Orders and a newer tactic by the appointment of Czars to manage and control various sensitive areas in government and the private sector; these Czars seem to be answerable to only the President and by the use of them and executive orders the Executive circumvents the intent of the U.S. Constitution and the Founding Fathers. It seems that in Washington D.C. the government looks on the Constitution as a historical document that really does not matter any more. Situational legislation is practiced both by the Congress and the President and if a serious problem or crisis contrived or true is present it makes this end run around the Constitution even more easy.
The people of this country should be crying out loud "FOUL" and every time this tactic is used it should be challenged and taken to the Federal Courts and if needed to the Supreme Court. This type of legislation by idea logs must be stopped or this country and its Constitution will disintegrate.

Latest Personal Liberty Alert
The Treaty Of Versailles
On June 28, 1919, the First World War officially came to an end when France and Germany signed the Treaty of Versailles with the Allies. The German delegation, which had been forced to sign the punitive agreement, signaled their attitude by breaking the ceremonial pen.
The treaty required Germany to pay such onerous reparations to the victors that the country was impoverished for the next two decades. The terms were regarded with such bitterness in Germany that many historians believe they were directly responsible for the rise of Nazism and World War II.
One little footnote that has been almost forgotten: President Woodrow Wilson, the most powerful person at that conference, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1920 for his efforts there. As Henry Kissinger could testify, it would not be the last time the 'peace' prize had very little to do with achieving a just and lasting peace.

John Locke...someone the Fathers learned from
"In all lawful governments, the designation of the persons who are to bear rule being an natural and necessary a part as the form of the government itself, and that which had its establishment ORIGINALLY FROM THE PEOPLE...all commonwealths, therefore, with the form of government established, have rules also of appointing and conveying the right to those who are to have any share in the public authority; and whoever into the exercise of any part of the power by other ways than what the laws of the community have prescribed hath no right to be obeyed, though the form of the commonwealth be still preserved, since he is not the person THE PEOPLE HAVE CONSENTED TO. Nor can such an usurper, or any deriving from him, ever have a title till the PEOPLE ARE BOTH AT LIBERTY TO CONSENT, AND HAVE ACTUALLY CONSENTED, to allow and confirm in him the power he hath till then usurped." (Locke, Second Essay Concerning Civil Government, pp. 70-71, par. 198; emphasis added.)

Repeal the Seventeenth Amendment
It was thought and hoped by the Founding Fathers that the Senators appointed by state legislatures would be representing the states as sovereign entities. Senators would then not have to be compelled to involve themselves in the popular sometimes frivolous issues of the electorate and could concentrate on protection of states' rights, maintaining the established order, balancing the budget, and keeping taxes low as possible. It was also hoped they could keep the tempestuousness of the House at a more moderate level. They were to be the deliberate more long term "thinkers" of the Congress, our elder more wise statesmen. I think that the Founding Fathers had the right idea especially after viewing what a circus like atmosphere we have now in both the House and Senate.
Seventeenth Amendment.....Repeal It!
For those of you who may not be up on the Amendments to the
US Constitution I will state the two provisions of the Seventeenth Amendment.
PROVISION 266
The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each state, elected to a six-year term by the people thereof; and each Senator shall have one vote.
PROVISION 267
When a Senate seat becomes vacant for any reason, the governor of that state shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancy; however, the legislature of any state may empower the governor to make a temporary appointment until the people fill the vacancy by an election as the legislature shall direct.
We shall discuss the implications of this amendment in my next blog as to how it diminishes the states rights and balance with the federal government.

Pay To Pray!
In the beginning of the contest with Britain, when we were sensible of
danger, we had daily prayers in this room for divine protection. Our prayers,
sir, were heard; and they were graciously answered. All of us who were engaged
in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of a superintending
Providence in our favor. To that kind of Providence we owe this happy
opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future
national felicity. And have we now forgotten that powerful Friend? Or do we
imagine that we no longer need (His) assistance?God's Providence was certainly in evidence at the beginning of this nation and it is certainly needed at this time of peril.
" I, therefore, beg leave to move:
"That hereafter prayers, imploring the assistance of Heaven and its blessing on our deliberations, held in this assembly every morning before we proceed to business, and that one or more of the clergy of this city be requested to officiate in that service."
Revisionist historians have painted the Founding Fathers as best Deists and at worse self-serving selfish beings concerned with their own welfare. Do the above statements sound like the Founding Fathers were Godless, non God fearing men...by no means. Read your original sources...not commentary by revisionist historians who are working towards their own agenda. They wound up not having daily prayers in the AM at the beginning of business not because they did not want to but because the colonies had not considered it in the budget....clergymen in Philadelphia were paid for their services daily. Things turned out pretty well...I guess God did not consider paid for prayers necessary but only the goodness in the hearts and souls of the founders.

United Nations must go!
Pres. Obama said we are not a Judeo-Christian Nation? - an open letter
Perhaps it was not on your required reading list at law school but I invite you to stroll over to the Library of Congress, if you were able to get a library card in light of the sparsity of your identification documents, and pick up a copy of The Christian Life and Character of the Civil Institutions of the United States, by Benjamin F. Morris, and published by American Vision Press, Powder Springs, Georgia. This 1060 page tome, which took over 12 years to research and write, gives original sources of proof that establishes the Christian Life and Character of the Civil Institutions of the United States dating back to the first settlements in the 1600s. Indirectly since much of the reasoning used in establishing these early civil institutions and codes and behavior were taken from the Christian bible which I am sure you must know includes the Old Testament, Judaic elements were also included in the earliest civil life and settlements of this country.
It is true that we are a nation of many religions but our Founders and the leaders who formulated civil life and institutions in the 1600s used Judeo-Christian values in doing so. Do yourself a favor and read it; I believe it will broaden your vision of the United States and give you and more realistic perspective of who we are.
Respectfully yours,
Richard W. Gorski, M.D.

President Obama
Facing a plague of murders, kidnappings and criminal mayhem, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed a simple, no-nonsense bill into state law that would help secure Arizona's southern border.
Within hours, even though he had not read the law, Barack Obama had the audacity to call it "misguided" and "irresponsible." He said: “And I want everyone, American and Mexican, to know my administration is taking a very close look at the Arizona law. We’re examining any implications...." Obama added: "I’ve directed my Justice Department to ... look very carefully at the language of this law to see whether it comports both with our core values and existing legal standards...."
"Taking a very close look...?" ... has anyone in the administration even bothered "to look very carefully at the language of this law?”
It appears not.
Attorney General Eric Holder confessed recently that he has not read the Arizona law; and yet, his "Justice Department" is going to fight it tooth-and-nail. The head of the Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, admits that she has not read it; and yet, ICE is indicating that it will not cooperate with Arizona on enforcement of the law.
How can you "examine" the "implications" of a law if you refuse to read it?
Of course, if they had bothered to read it, perhaps they would understand that Arizona’s law closely mirrors the federal immigration statutes already on the books. The difference is that Arizona, unlike the federal government, actually plans to enforce it.
Senator Sessions even went so far as to accuse the Obama Administration of “nullifying existing law.” Senator Sessions is understating the argument. The Obama Administration isn't simply "nullifying the law." The Obama Administration is actively fighting it.
And this arrogant and egregious dereliction of duty must stop... TODAY.

The Chains that keep us free
The best answer they came up with was the Constitution of the United States. It harnessed the powers of the Federal Government within the confines of a strictly interpreted Constitution. If the Constitution was malleable and easily changeable it would destroy the freedom it was designed to preserve.
Washington said:
"Government is not reason, it is not eloquence - it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master."
(Quoted in Jacop M. Braude, Lifetime Speaker's Encyclopedia, 2 vols. , Englewood Cliffs, N. J.: Prentice-Hall, Inc., 1962, 1:326)
National Debt & Generational Debts
This is reflected in what Thomas Jefferson said:
I, however, place economy among the first and most important of republican virtues, and public debt as the greatest of the dangers to be feared.
(Bergh, Writings of Thomas Jefferson, 15:47.)
Why is Mr. Obama pursuing a course 180 degrees opposite to what Thomas Jefferson recommended? Ask yourself that question; any rational answers?
Mr. Jefferson made a particular point about the immorality of passing on debt to ones children:
"That we are bound to defray (the wars) expenses within our own time, and unauthorized to burden posterity with them, I suppose to have been proved in my former letter... We shall all consider our-selves morally bound to pay them ourselves; and consequently within the life (expectancy) of the majority ... We must raise, then ourselves the money for this war, either by taxes within the year or by loans ; and if by loans, we must repay them ourselves, proscribing forever the English practice of perpetual funding. (Bergh, Writings of Thomas Jefferson, 13:357-358.)
Why does the administration and congress seem to have forgotten these words of wisdom?

American Exceptionalism....believe it!!!
Sunday, May 16, 2010
Mr.Obama didn't you know or did you forget?
That glaring fallacy was and still is that the people cannot empower their government with powers which they themselves do not have a natural lawful right to themselves. A proper assignment of power given to the government by the people would be the creation of a fire department; to protect life and their property. An example of an improper granting of a power to a government would be for example; the government surveys families in an area and finds that 50% of the families in this area has two TVs and the other 50% has none. Then in the name of beneficence or call it warped "social justice", a new name for Marxism, the government creates an immoral but legal law that orders the families with two TV to give one of their TVs to a family with none all in the name of "spreading the wealth and goods around" in an equitable manner. The problem with this is that the "people" do not have the right to empower their government with this power to confiscate personal property and give it to those who don't have it; not if you believe in natural law and reason. Only anarchists or Marxists would propose such a redistribution of the wealth and goods that belong to other people who obtained it legally. If you gave it to your neighbor in an act of charity...fine...no problem. Marxism, social justice and spreading the wealth around can be dangerous because the devil is in the details of how it is done. Stay allert!

Advice to Pres. Obama from Ben Franklin & others
Thomas Jefferson wrote:
"The maxim of buying nothing without the money in our pockets to pay for it would make our country one of the happiest on earth. Experience during the (Revolutionary) war proved this; and I think every man will remember that, under all the privations it obliged him to submit to during that period, he slept sounder and awoke happier than he can do now." Ford, Writings of Thomas Jefferson, 4:414.)
President Washington made it perfectly clear when he said in an address to Congress: "No pecuniary consideration is more urgent than the regular redemption and discharge of the public debt; on none can delay be more injurious, or an economy of time more valuable."
President Obama, I guess you don't subscribe to these fundamental principals of these Founding Fathers of our country... that is a shame that will haunt us and our great, great grandchildren.

Well maybe the PCSO force has arrived in the U.S.
at the Pentagon....even though our soldiers are fighting and dying in Iraq and Afghanistan for these rights for the citizens of these countries.
Shame on any military, civilian or even presidential individual (emphasis of the lower case p in presidential on purpose) who singularly or as a group slapped all evangelical Christians...no all Christians and believers in Jesus Christ. Bad decision boys! It will come back again and again and haunt you.
Reflections for Legislators and Supreme Court
"The adversaries of the Constitution seem to have lost sight of the PEOPLE altogether in their reasonings on this subject; and to have viewed these different establishments not only as mutual rivals and enemies, but as uncontrolled by any common superior in their efforts to usurp the authorities of each other. These gentlemen must be reminded of their error. They must be told that the ULTIMATE AUTHORITY, wherever the derivative may be found, RESIDES IN THE PEOPLE ALONE." (Federalist Papers, No. 46, p. 294; emphasis added.)
So they had similar problems way back in 1776; our American experiment continues and with Providence and the spirit of the American People it will continue and improve as long as we keep to the principals that this Republic was founded on.
Are we next for the PCSO force in the U.S.?
The Public Order Act was introduced in 1986 to tackle violent rioters and football hooligans but now is being used to stop religious free speech.
Are we on the administration's agenda to have "special laws" (unconstitutional ones) for special groups that will add badly needed votes (voting blocks) to win close elections? Somehow I feel that we are; how about you?

Obama's Private Unelected Government?
They answer only to Obama and he (Obama) has appointed nearly 40 of them. To me this seems to be a government within a government. Here are a few just to give you the flavor of this: health reform czar, border czar, counter terrorism czar, urban czar, global warming czar, domestic violence czar, stimulus accountability czar, Eurasian energy czar, Great Lakes czar, safe schools czar. These czars have never been elected, nor confirmed by the Senate but still have immense over our government and each of us in our daily lives.
Where in the US Constitution are such positions authorized and the President authorized to create and endow these individuals with this power and responsibility without accountability to no one except Obama?
I am truly concerned about what President Obama's agenda is in creating a "government within a government".
What do you think? I would appreciate your insight.

Health Care Bill...onset of Obama monarchy?
- tax dollars will be used to pay for abortions; the executive order signed by Obama is not worth the paper its written on and will not stop the largest expansion of abortions that will be seen
- health insurance premiums will rise by as much as 13% according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO)
- small business will be stifled and will reduce jobs or forgo any thought of hiring new people to fill new positions
- the Federal Government however will GROW by at least 16,000 new IRS Agents (at a minimal cost of $10 billion) to be the enforcement branch of this new piece of entitlement; just what we want, more government on our backs to make sure they get paid or they will fine, levy or I would not be surprised if they would prosecute some and imprison them. I guess this is what President Obama meant by CHANGE and SPREADING THE WEALTH.
So when you go to the polls in November think of these things before you vote and ask yourself is this the direction that you want your country to go? The future of your country, your and yours children's' liberties may depend on your choice.

Administration and leftist congress hijacked and perverted Social Justice?
Social justice can be obtained only in respecting the transcendent dignity of man. The person represents the ultimate end of society, which is ordered to him: the late John Paul II said,
What is at stake is the dignity of the human person, whose defense and promotion have been entrusted to us by the Creator, and to whom the men and women at every moment of history are strictly and responsibly in debt.
In the Declaration of Independence it states that all men are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights and that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. No where in this document or in the Constitution does it state also an inalienable right to health care; if the government, with the consent of the governed wishes to create such a legislative policy it may do so if done in a lawful and legitimate matter. If it does so the government does not confer a new human right on its citizens it simply creates a new entitlement program for them. Rights are intrinsic to the human nature of created beings freely given to them by their creator. Words and concepts are important don't confuse political policy with intrinsic human rights or some day you may find yourself in the chains of slavery and subjugation of your government....it is designed to happen slowly over many years so that no one notices it until the chains are firmly placed and locked...and then it may be too late.
Judge politicians and all men not by just what they may say at any certain time in their lifetime but by the actions that they take and if the actions are moral and consistent with our Founding Fathers' principles and documents.
Above all be vigilant and always be aware of liars and stand up to them and call them on their lies...otherwise we may loose this Republic.

ACORN ceases ops...April 1...how appropriate
ACORN's funding and its reputation was hit hard by several reports of alleged voter fraud and embezzlement and a video which was wide spread.
Based on the video and the alleged voter fraud Congress pulled federal funding and private donors have backed away from the organization.
But will they really close down or simply divide and multiply under a myriad of AKAs (also known as) organizations making it more difficult to track and follow the questionable activities of these new organizations. I suspect that even though the head of the snake has been cut off the remaining parts will still be up to mischief....will any of it be illegal?
