The Obama czars enjoy significant bureaucratic power which is doing an "end run" around Congress and are compensated six figure salaries and some are alleged to tilt so far to the left that some allege are socialist or bordering very close to communism.
They answer only to Obama and he (Obama) has appointed nearly 40 of them. To me this seems to be a government within a government. Here are a few just to give you the flavor of this: health reform czar, border czar, counter terrorism czar, urban czar, global warming czar, domestic violence czar, stimulus accountability czar, Eurasian energy czar, Great Lakes czar, safe schools czar. These czars have never been elected, nor confirmed by the Senate but still have immense over our government and each of us in our daily lives.
Where in the US Constitution are such positions authorized and the President authorized to create and endow these individuals with this power and responsibility without accountability to no one except Obama?
I am truly concerned about what President Obama's agenda is in creating a "government within a government".
What do you think? I would appreciate your insight.

It comes as no surprise, Richard, that Obama has organized the community in the White House to replicate the worst of Chicago, Cook County and Illinois politics. But the lines are somewhat blurred. Democrats and Republicans. Lieberman, the Independent Democrat. Specter the turncoat Republican. Crist the sort of Republican who begs Rahm for help as he jumps ship. I will vote against every incumbent of either party this November. I will not throw my vote away, but I will vote for morality, ethics (remember, they used to teach this in schools), character and professionalism wherever I can find it. Every vote counts. We start here, in McHenry County, and we vote out every clown now in office and put in new people. If they turn out to be clowns and Slick Willies, we vote THEM out next time. You are spot on - it is up to us to reclaim our Constitutional Republic. One vote will make the difference. Let's vote.
Maybe the answer is to vote all the incumbents out in the fall and in 2012 and pass a Constitutional Amendment allowing congressmen to serve only a maximum of two terms in office and they are not allowed to return as lobyists ever. That I believe would go a long way in cleaning up the corruption and self interest in this country.
