GEORGE WASHINGTON STATED

Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the peoples' liberty teeth.

First Inaugural Address of George Washington...April 30, 1789

The preservation of the sacred fire of liberty and the destiny of the republican model of government are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally, staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.

The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Abraham Lincoln said:

"In this age, and in this country, public sentiment is everything. With it, nothing can fail; against it nothing can suceed. Whoever molds public sentiment goes deeper than he who enacts statutes, or pronounces judicial decisions."

James Madison Declared

The adversaries of the Constitution seem to have lost sight of the PEOPLE altogether in their reasonings on this subject; and to have viewed these different establishments not only as mutual rivals and enemies, but as uncontrolled by any common superior in their efforts to usurp the authorities of each other. These gentlemen must be reminded of their error. They must be told that the ULTIMATE AUTHORITY, wherever the derivative may be found, RESIDES IN THE PEOPLE ALONE. Could the same message given by Pres. Bush be said of Pres. Obama? You make the decision.

Dr. Gorski:

Thank you so much for posting this clip to your blog site.

For those complacent enough to believe that our current administration holds Israel in high regard, the obvious answer to your provocative question is a resounding "No!"

Actually, the Obama administration’s social, fiscal and military policies have moved the United States further to the left than we've ever been before - so far to the left- we're about to topple!

Not only has the current far left leaning administration failed to represent core American values, as reflected by their leftist social, fiscal and military policies, but their total ignorance and disregard for the status of our ally Israel in the Middle East peace process is inexcusable.

This administration's contempt for Israel speaks volumes, and should frighten us into political activism within our home states and on at the federal level in November of 2012.

I totally agree with your evaluation of this issue. In 2012 the people will give us a diffinitive answer.

Dr. Gorski:
I really appreciate your blog site, and enjoy the emphasis on our American Constitution. As a Chicago native, and then a former Woodstock resident who relocated to Michigan back in 1981, as a 29 year-old mother of two, an opportunity to attend Hillsdale College - a fiercely independent liberal arts college in Hillsdale, MI - where many of my previously-held core became solidified. If you ever to care to read some great writings from some of the best conservative minds out there, visit their web site and sign up for Hillsdale College's "Imprimis" newsletter, whose readership comes from all around the world. I'm confident you'll enjoy what you read!
Also, I'm not sure how my comment with regard to your "Bush-Israel" video came through as submitted by "Anonymous," but I may have just pushed the wrong button, as I will always sign my blog comments submitted to any of the several blogs sites which I frequent as "hadassah1953" and always appreciate seeing my writings accepted. Thanks again! Blog on!
