GEORGE WASHINGTON STATED

Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the peoples' liberty teeth.

First Inaugural Address of George Washington...April 30, 1789

The preservation of the sacred fire of liberty and the destiny of the republican model of government are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally, staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.

The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Abraham Lincoln said:

"In this age, and in this country, public sentiment is everything. With it, nothing can fail; against it nothing can suceed. Whoever molds public sentiment goes deeper than he who enacts statutes, or pronounces judicial decisions."

James Madison Declared

The adversaries of the Constitution seem to have lost sight of the PEOPLE altogether in their reasonings on this subject; and to have viewed these different establishments not only as mutual rivals and enemies, but as uncontrolled by any common superior in their efforts to usurp the authorities of each other. These gentlemen must be reminded of their error. They must be told that the ULTIMATE AUTHORITY, wherever the derivative may be found, RESIDES IN THE PEOPLE ALONE. 09/19/11...the President's speech

Today President Obama gave a political/economic/re-election speech. I just have a few bullet points to make about it...you can make of them what you will.

  • He use "I" twenty-four (24) times in 20 minutes of talking
  • He stated that government "always has to do a little more"
  • He stated that physicians should be paid for good results obtained not for what they do. If you used this same standard for the Executive and Legislative Branches of the Federal Government they would very rarely be paid.
  • He stated that he is not promoting "class warfare" yet he fails to state that nearly half of the population of the United States pays no income tax.
  • He states that Warren Buffet's tax rate is less than the tax rate of those who work for him. That is because Mr. Buffet is paying Capital Gains Tax....15% and his employees are paying Income Tax of 25 to 35%. This was passed by Congress. In actual dollars Mr. Buffet pays a lot, lot, lot, lot.....more.
Digest the above and ask yourself if President Obama is trying to make points or votes for the coming election or if he is really leveling with you.

America...take down that wall!

President Ronald Reagan used the phrase "take down that wall" when he directed it toward the President of the U.S.S.R. The power of those prophetic words eventually worked and truth prevailed; the Berlin wall was toppled from within because of a system not based on truth and was therefore not sustainable. We have a "wall" in this country that is not based on historical or legal truth and eventually it also will topple and fall into the footnotes of historical shame and of deceitful lies. We have been lied to by legal and historical revisionists that a so called "wall of separation of church and state" exists and is contained in our Constitution.   I pray that the eventual toppling of our "wall" will not account for the end of the Republic that our Founders gave to us over 200 years ago.

The problem began not over 200 years ago but in 1947 with the coupling of the  Fourteenth Amendment and the Bill of Rights by the Everson Court. The Rule adopted by a previous Supreme Court of the United States in interpreting the 14th Amendment ...makes it inapplicable to the religious liberty or any other right of the citizen as determined by the state of which he is resident. (see the cases of Paul vs. Virginia (8 Wallace, p. 168), and of New Orleans Slaughter-house  (16 Wallace, p. 36) which laid down the above principle).

Justice William Douglas, in 1970 "openly acknowledged that by coupling the Fourteenth Amendment and the Bill of Rights, the Court had not only usurped state authority over many areas but that it also created an American revolution that...*

. . . involved the imposition of new and far-reaching constitutional restraints on the states. Nationalization of many civil liberties has been the consequence of the Fourteenth Amendment, reversing the historic position that the foundations of those liberties rested largely in state law...And so the revolution occasioned by the Fourteenth Amendment has progressed as Article after Article in the Bill of Rights has been incorporated in it [by the Court] and made applicable to the states. **

The Everson decision which I believe should be reversed when the truth finally prevails and it is ruled, by another Supreme Court, as unconstitutional. Truth will eventually be the guardian of our Republic.

Excited

I am very excited; I have just become an international blogger. I received a comment, a positive one, on my last blog. The gentleman goes by "Fighter Jet" and resides in India and is in the consulting business. Now my reach goes beyond McHenry County Illinois to the vast world encompassing the Internet. The truth will set us free...the media is being forced to be fair and balanced or those who are not will go out of business...there is hope so do not despair.

Truth...a rare commodity out of Washington D.C.

The first sentence in Cal Thomas's Views column really was an epiphany for me this morning as I read the Northwest Herald. The rest of the article was interesting but the first sentence contained the message; if we can't trust the veracity of of our elected representatives on both sides of the aisle; if all that matters is PARTY and PARTY AGENDA and getting RE-ELECTED then we the constituents of both parties are truly not being represented. What we have in Washington, in Congress, is an oligarchy (the rule of an elite few to control the many). What I see developing is a true insurgency of the ruled to consider options offered by developing third and fourth parties. I believe that the evils of a two party system that our Founding Fathers warned us about over 230 years ago are truly becoming, if not already existing, in our government today. Only time and the American Peoples' vote will tell the future of the party system. These may be revolutionary times in the way the American Voter thinks and votes. God bless the United States of America.

SEMANTICS AND CIVILIZATION

Semantics is often defined as the branch of linguistic science which deals with the meanings of words and especially with the development and change in these meanings. Civilization is often defined as the sum of qualities of a particular civilized society and civilized as being endowed with law, order and the conditions favorable to the arts and sciences; having refined manners and tastes. In this spectrum of definitions the most fundamental and foundational word is missing and does not seem to be as important in today's society as it was in the past and maybe that's why the world situation seems to be worsening and conditions for countries, governments, families and individuals seem to be getting worse on a global scale. That single most important word on which all human interactions and understanding should be based is Truth. Truth has been defined in many ways over thousands of years by thousands of people. I believe that truth is that which conforms with the seen and unseen existence within us, and the entire cosmos. If we as a country, a world cannot see much less understand yet that which is written in the natural processes, laws that created all that exists then we are doomed as a civilization and a world.

Science tells us that statistically it is much more scientific to believe in a designed cosmos with life in it than for it to have just happened by chance. There are not enough pieces of paper in all the earth filled with a decimal point followed by zeros to tell us the chance that this was not a designed undertaking. We must understand this and act in a manner which understands that we and the cosmos are here for a purpose and that purpose someday will be fulfilled and then we hopefully all can say "Oh now I understand". If mankind fully understood the entire purpose of his/her being and that of the cosmos where would be the fun in continuing this journey of mankind in understanding himself and the universe around him?
